Meet me.

Hi! I'm Dr. Laura Hughes (just call me Laura).

Let's be honest. Life doesn't always go how you thought it would. And sometimes? That's the best plot twist you never saw coming.

I never thought I'd walk away from a medical license I spent years earning. Or that I'd navigate divorce and come out friends. Or fall in love again and become a mom in my 40s. (Twice. In two years. We're sleeping surprisingly well.)

And here's what happened when I stopped trying to be someone else's version of successful:

I exhaled.

I stopped following all the motivational quote accounts on Instagram (well, maybe I kept a couple), because my internal drive roared back. My body stopped feeling like a project to manage and started feeling like home. I shifted to a frequency where I could actually make sense of what worked for me. My brain fog cleared - like someone finally cleaned the windshield.

Turns out I'm a night person who writes better at midnight than sunrise. My best ideas come around water, not the 5am club. I need cheese every three hours or I get cranky.

I'm a recovering gold-star addict (thanks, academia) and a Gemini sun, Scorpio moon, Capricorn rising. Translation: I think in seventeen directions at once, feel everything deeply, and will absolutely reorganize your spice drawer by colour then alphabetically. (You've been warned).

I live in Toronto with my partner, two chatty toddlers, and various rescue animals who've trained us well. Beach walks are non-negotiable. Coffee is a food group. I'm always barefoot when physics allows.

About those letters after my name…

I have a PhD and ND, which means I spent an unreasonable amount of time and money learning how bodies work. The medical system wanted me to fix people. But people aren't broken printers. They're intricate, miraculous systems that know things, but most of us were never taught to listen.

So I left.

What I do now?

I help people find their frequency through tools that sound too simple to work but absolutely do. Essential oils that actually talk to your cells. Nutrition that makes sense for YOUR body. Frameworks that explain why you work the way you work. Frankly, it’s the stuff that changes everything.

No regrets. Lots of oils. Currently drinking cold coffee and answering emails while someone asks me for a snack for the nineteenth time.

I'm really glad you're here.

Life is better when we're not doing it alone.
Real humans. Real talk. Emails you'll actually want to read. Let's go.
